Next Thursday, 5 November (Bonfire Night) our monthly short work party will concentrate on the Community Orchard in Glebelands Rec, off Rife Way and next to the tennis courts. This will start at 10am (just for an hour or so) and will involve some light weeding and pruning of the trees there, plus maybe some grass raking.
If you’re able to help, we’d be very pleased to see you there, and if you have them a pair of secateurs, trowel and a fork would be useful, although we do have some tools available to use. Then we hope there will be a decent fruit harvest next year, after our more fallow one this Summer.
