November Bird Walk and Christmas Cards

On the morning of Wednesday 12 November, our local bird expert Clive Hope will be leading a short walk across Goring Gap and the beach to look at our sea birds, waders and anything else that might show itself. We’ll meet at the bottom of Sea Lane Ferring at 9am and will finish by the Pill Box, probably by mid morning.

As the weather can be unpredictable at this time of year and the site is quite exposed, please dress appropriately and bring binoculars if you have them. As always check the website on the day if weather conditions might be an issue.

Also, our 2025 charity Christmas cards are now on sale, and priced at £5 per pack of 10 cards, with all proceeds going to St Barnabas House Hospice. There is a choice of 2 images as below of snowy scenes in Ferring (the Pantiles and Little Paddocks pond), taken by one of our members, Brian Lee.

They are currently on sale at Pinkerton’s Newsagents in Ocean Parade, and also at the History Group meeting this coming Friday evening (7 Nov), our next FCG meeting on the afternoon of Friday 28 November, and the Christmas Fair at the Village Hall on Saturday 6 December.
